Heart Foundation Walkability Checklist

The Heart Foundation’s Community Walkability Checklist is designed to help individuals and groups identify the aspects of your local environment that help or hinder when you walk. On completion, your checklist will provide structured feedback to your local council and help identify possible areas for improvements to the quality of your environment. When planning your walking route you may also find this national public toilet map useful.

Strength and Stretching Exercise Posters

The Heart Foundation have developed new resources to support older Australians to stay fit and active, whilst helping to enhance understanding of the benefits of regular physical activity. The delivery of these new resources has been made possible thanks to Heart Foundation Walking and the Walk Wise project, a *2-year funded project by Sport Australia under the “Move It AUS - Better Ageing" grants.
