Terms & Conditions of Entry
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You are providing your information to the National Heart Foundation of Australia ABN 98 008 419 761 (Heart Foundation) and not to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. By participating in this promotion, you agree to a complete release of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from any claims. Participation in this promotion is subject to the Personal Walking Plans Details of Participation as set out below.
Any entrant found to be creating multiple social media accounts (e.g., multiple Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts) in order to submit multiple entries will be immediately disqualified from participating in the competitions.
Details of Participation
Information provided on how to enter forms part of these Details of Participation and entry is deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions as set out in this document and as updated from time to time. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest or redeem prizes. Contest commences on 1 May 2021 and entries close at 11:59pm AEST on 30 September 2021. Entries not received by that time & date or not completed in accordance with the Details of Participation will not be eligible to win.
One prize each calendar month (May, June, July, August and September) consisting of a Visa gift card valued at $100 each. If any prize is unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to substitute another item for the prize, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. All prize values are correct at the time of printing. Prizes are not redeemable for cash unless otherwise indicated. Total prize pool is valued at $500.
Who can enter
Contest is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older who have registered to participate in the Personal Walking Plans and completed an evaluation survey, sent to them at the end of the six-week plan. Employees of the Heart Foundation, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
How to enter
Personal Walking Plan participants will be entered automatically upon completion of the evaluation survey sent to each participant at the end of their six-week plan. All entrants will automatically become eligible and included in that month’s prize draw. Only 1 entry per person is permitted.
All information submitted in the evaluation survey becomes the property of the promoter. Survey information will not be returned to any entrant. As a condition of entering this promotion, each entrant agrees to assign all of their rights, title and interest (including copyright) in and to their entry to the Promoter. The promoter is entitled to use any information for any purposes at its discretion, including using the information for future promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants to this competition assign all intellectual property rights in the entry to the Promoter and indemnify the promoter in respect of any infringement or alleged infringement of the intellectual property rights (including copyright) of any person, arising out of the promoter’s use of the entry. Entrants consent to any act or omission of the promoter that might otherwise breach the Entrant’s moral rights in the entry.
The odds of winning are based on the actual number of entries received. Neither the Heart Foundation nor any of its agencies are responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete or ineligible entries. The Heart Foundation’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. All prizes are guaranteed to be given away by random drawing. All prize draws will take place on the first Thursday after the end of each calendar month at Level 3, 80 William Street, East Sydney NSW 2011 at 12.00pm AEST or AEDST (as applicable), or at a suitable alternative premise in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions. Monthly prize draws will take place as follows: 3 June 2021, 1 July 2021, 5 August 2021, 2 September 2021 and 7 October 2021. In the event a draw date falls on a non-business day, the draw will be conducted on the next business day. If a prize is not claimed within 3 months of each draw date, a redraw will be conducted as follows: 3 September 2021, 1 October 2021, 5 November 2021, 2 December 2021 and 7 January 2022.
Winners will be notified in writing and if required by legislation by phone or email where possible, within two (2) days of the prize draw.
Your Personal Information is being or has been collected by the National Heart Foundation of Australia ABN 98 008 419 761 (Heart Foundation, we, us, our) to facilitate services requested by you and /or to keep you informed about Heart Foundation related activities. We respect your privacy and embrace the principles contained in the Privacy Act. We may contact you in the future for the promotion of heart health messages and programs, research, fundraising purposes and invitations to events. If you attend our events you may be photographed or filmed and images &/or audio may be used in various mediums to promote the Heart Foundation. Please tell event staff if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. Personal details may be provided to third parties where required by law or for the purpose of facilitating services contracted by us, in so doing your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients. Further information is available in our Privacy Notice or on request. Communications from us may include mail, email, social media, SMS or telephone contact and may also include messages on behalf of event sponsors and other third parties. By providing your information to us you agree that you have provided your indefinite consent to this contact. You may withdraw consent at any time though in doing so we may not be able to provide you with services requested. The Heart Foundation will not disclose your information to any third party for their marketing purposes.
