Terms & Conditions of Entry
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to the National Heart Foundation of Australia ABN 98 008 419 761 (Heart Foundation) and not to Facebook. By participating in this promotion, you agree to a complete release of Facebook from any claims. Participation in this promotion is subject to the below Details of Participation.
Any entrant found to be creating multiple social media accounts e.g. multiple Facebook accounts, in order to submit more entries will be disqualified.
Details of Participation
Information on how to enter forms part of these Details of Participation and entry is deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions as set out in this document and as updated from time to time. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest or redeem prizes. Contest commences on 14 July 2020 and entries close at 11.59pm AEST on 14 December 2020 (22 weeks). Entries not received by that date or not completed in accordance with the Details of Participation will not be eligible to win.
One prize each week (over the twenty-two weeks of the contest) consisting of Heart Foundation merchandise to the value of $50.00. The type of merchandise will be selected each week at the Heart Foundation’s discretion. Where applicable, winner will be asked to select the preferred size of merchandise offered. Total prize pool is valued at $1,100. If any prize is unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to substitute another item for the prize, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. All prize values are correct at the time of printing. Prizes are not redeemable for cash unless otherwise indicated.
Who can enter
Contest is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older who are members of the Heart Foundation Walking Facebook group. Employees of the Heart Foundation, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
How to enter
Members of the Heart Foundation Walking Facebook group are encouraged to post a story, picture, video etc. that highlights walking in and around their home and local neighbourhood on the Heart Foundation Walking Facebook group.
Only 1 entry per person per week is permitted, and each weekly entry must be lodged separately and must be substantially unique.
Entries will be judged based on creative merit and originality by a panel of judges.
Judges decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
All entries submitted become the property of the promoter. Entries will not be returned to any entrant. As a condition of entering this promotion, each entrant agrees to assign all of their rights, title and interest (including copyright) in and to their entry to the Promoter. The promoter is entitled to use any entry for any purposes at its discretion, including using the entry for future promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants to this competition assign all intellectual property rights in the entry to the Promoter and indemnify the promoter in respect of any infringement or alleged infringement of the intellectual property rights (including copyright) of any person, arising out of the promoter’s use of the entry. Entrants consent to any act or omission of the promoter that might otherwise breach the Entrant’s moral rights in the entry.
This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each week’s winning entry will be the entry judged to be the most creative/unique/engaging. Neither the promoter nor any of their agencies are responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete or ineligible entries. Judging will take place weekly throughout the competition period as stated in the Details of Participation at 12.00pm AEDT each Monday at Level 3, 80 William Street, East Sydney NSW 2011, or at a suitable alternative premise in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions.
Winners will be notified via Facebook within two (2) days of the prize draw (and via email if we have these details). The winners' names will be published weekly at https://walking.heartfoundation.org.au/whats-on/promotions/. Winners of redraws (if any) will be published at https://walking.heartfoundation.org.au/whats-on/promotions/.

We respect your privacy and embrace the principles contained in the Privacy Act. We may contact you in the future for the promotion of heart health messages and programs, research, fundraising purposes and invitations to events. If you attend our events you may be photographed or filmed and images &/or audio may be used in various mediums to promote the Heart Foundation. Please tell event staff if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. Personal details may be provided to third parties where required by law or for the purpose of facilitating services contracted by us, in so doing your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients. Further information is available in our Privacy Notice or on request. Communications from us may include mail, email, social media, SMS or telephone contact and may also include messages on behalf of event sponsors and other third parties. By providing your information to us you agree that you have provided your indefinite consent to this contact. You may withdraw consent at any time though in doing so we may not be able to provide you with services requested. The Heart Foundation will not disclose your information to any third party for their marketing purposes.
