Any entrant found to be creating multiple social media accounts (e.g. multiple Twitter accounts) in order to submit more entries will be disqualified. 

 

Details of Participation 

 

Information on how to enter forms part of these Details of Participation and entry is deemed as acceptance of them. 

 

No purchase is necessary to enter the contest or redeem prizes. However, Entrants must meet the eligibility criteria for entry detailed below, including being a registered participant of the Heart Foundation Walking Program who nominate a Heart Foundation Walk Organiser for the 2023 Golden Show Award.   

 

The contest commences at 9:00am AEST Thursday 27 April 2023 and entries close at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 26 May 2023. 

 

Entries not received by that date or not completed in accordance with the Details of Participation will not be eligible to win. 

 

Prize 

Entrants do not win the prize. Entrants submit a nomination form for a current Heart Foundation Walk Organiser to win the 2023 Golden Shoe Awards and who will receive the prize. 

 

Prizes: Eight separate prizes, each consisting of a Visa gift card valued at AU$250.00. Total prize pool is valued at AU$2,000. 

 

If any prize is unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to substitute another item for the prize, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. 

 

All prize values are correct at the time of printing. 

 

Prize/s are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless otherwise indicated. 

 

Who can enter 

 

Contest is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or more who are registered participants of the Heart Foundation Walking Program and who submit a valid Heart Foundation Walking 2023 Golden Shoe Awards nomination form nominating a current Heart Foundation Walk Organiser. 

 

Employees of the promoter and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.  

 

How to enter  

Contest can be entered by completing and submitting a Golden Shoe Awards nomination form and nominating a Heart Foundation Walk Organiser in full online at the following website: http://www.walking.heartfoundation.org.au.  

 

Contest can also be entered by completing a paper nomination form (downloadable from the website http://www.walking.heartfoundation.org.au) and returning it to walking@heartfoundation.org.au or by mail to Heart Foundation Walking, Reply Paid 84197, Hutt Street, South Australia, 5000.   

 

Only one entry per person is permitted.  

 

A panel of judges will judge entries will be based on literary and creative merit, originality, and the nominated Walk Organiser’s impact and their actions to influence positive change.  

 

The judges’ decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

 

All entries submitted become the property of the promoter. Entries will not be returned to any entrant. As a condition of entering this promotion, each entrant agrees to assign all of their rights, title and interest (including copyright) in and to their entry to the Promoter. The promoter is entitled to use any entry for any purposes at its discretion, including using the entry for future promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants to this competition assign all intellectual property rights in the entry to the Promoter and indemnify the promoter in respect of any infringement or alleged infringement of the intellectual property rights (including copyright) of any person, arising out of the promoter’s use of the entry. Entrants consent to any act or omission of the promoter that might otherwise breach the Entrant’s moral rights in the entry. 

 

Judging 

 

This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. The winning entries will be those judged to be most creative, unique, original and the nominated Heart Foundation Walk Organisers with the greatest impact and influence for positive change. 

 

Neither the promoter nor any of their agencies are responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete or ineligible entries. 

 

Judging will take place between 29 May 2023 to 2 June 2023. 

 

Notification 

 

The Walk Organisers who are deemed winners will be notified by phone or email where possible. 

 

The winners' names will be published on https://walking.heartfoundation.org.au/ on Monday 5 June 2023.
